Venue: MSAC (Melbourne Sports & Aquatics Centre)

Aquatics:

Swimming:

  • There are four pricing levels; Price Level A, Price Level B, Price Level C and Price Level D.
  • The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre seating area is divided into three stands, the North Stand, the East Stand and the West Stand.

 

 

 

Diving:

  • There are two

    pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B. All seating is located in a single stand. Seating in Price Level A consists of Aisles 5 to 9 and Aisles 15 to 18.
  • Seating in Price Level B consists of Aisles 1 to 5 and Aisles 11 to 14.
  • The Diving pool is directly in front of Aisles 6 to 9 and 16 to 18.

 

 

 

Synchronised Swimming:

  • There are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B. All seating is located in a single stand.
  • Seating in Price Level A consists of Aisles 6 to 9 and Aisles 15 to 18.
  • Seating in Price Level B consists of Aisles 1 to 6 and Aisles 10 to 15.
  • The Synchronised Swimming pool is directly in front of Aisles 6 to 9 and 16 to 18.

 

 

 

Squash:

  • There are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.
  • The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre seating area is divided into four stands, the North Stand, the East Stand, the South Stand and the West Stand.
  • Seating in the North Stand consists of Aisles 7 to 9. All seats in Aisles 7 to 8 are Price Level B and all seats in Aisles 8 to 9 are Price Level A.
  • Seating in the East Stand consists of Aisles 10 to 12. All seats in the East Stand are Price Level A.
     

Table Tennis:

  • There are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.
  • There are four stands surrounding the field of play, the North Stand, the East Stand, the South Stand and the West Stand.
  • All seating in the North Stand is Price Level B.
  • The East Stand consists of Aisles 9 to 14. Seating in Price Level A in the East Stand includes Aisles 10 to 13. Seating Price Level B in the East Stand includes Aisles 9 to 10 and 13 to 14.
  • All seating in the South Stand is Price Level B.
  • The West Stand consists of Aisles 1 to 6. Seating in Price Level A in the West Stand includes Aisles 2 to 5. Seating in Price Level B in the West Stand includes Aisles 1 to 2 and 5 to 6.  

 

Venue: MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground)

Opening/Closing Ceremonies:

  • The Opening and Closing Ceremonies will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
  • There are four pricing levels; Price Level A, Price Level B, Price Level C and Price Level D.
  • There are four seating levels; Level M, Level N, Level P and Level Q.

 

 

 

 

 

Athletics:

  • There are four pricing levels; Price Level A, Price Level B, Price Level C and Price Level D.
  • There are four seating levels radiating out from the field of play in this order; Level M, Level N, Level P and Level Q. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Super Sunday:

  • There are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.
  • There are four seating levels; Level M, Level N, Level P and Level Q.
  • On Level M, seating in the front three quarters of the stand are Price Level A while seating in the rear quarter is Price Level B. 
  • On Level N, seating is all Price Level A.
  • On Level P, seating in Bays P1 to P26 is all Price Level B.
  • On Level Q, seating is all Price Level B.

 

 

Venue: MEC (Melbourne Exhibition Centre)

Badminton:

  • Non-finals spectator entry is General Admission with no allocated seating areas.
  • For the finals there are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.
  • The Melbourne Exhibition Centre seating area is divided into three stands, the North Stand, the East Stand and the West Stand surrounding three sides of the field of play.
     

 

 

 

Boxing:

  • All sessions are Reserved seating.
  • There are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.
  • The Melbourne Exhibition Centre seating area is divided into four stands; the North Stand, the East Stand, the South Stand and the West Stand. There is also a small amount of seating in the floor section; Floor North and Floor South.

 

 

 

Weightlifting:

  • The Powerlifting spectator entry is General Admission, there are no allocated seating areas.
  • For Weightlifting there are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.
  • Price Level A seating begins at Row A and ends at Row Z. A small section of Price Level A seats are located between Aisles 3 and 4, Rows AA to GG.
  • Price Level B seating begins at Row AA and ends at Row PP. This excludes seats that are located between Aisles 3 and 4, Rows AA to GG.
  • The Weightlifting podium is located at the front of the seating area (Beginning at Row A), directly in front of the seating between Aisles 3 and 4.

 

Basketball:

The preliminary rounds will be held at 4 different locations listed below, with the exception of the classification games which will all be staged at Melbourne Park.

Ballarate Minerdome:

  • There are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.
  • Seating at the venue is divided up into two stands; the East Stand and the West Stand.
  • Seating in the centre of the East Stand is Price Level A, seating on either side of the centre section is Price Level B.
  • Seating in the centre of the West Stand is Price Level A. Seating in the back section, either side of the centre, is Price Level A and seating in the front section, either side of the centre, is Price Level B.
  • While all seating is Price Level A and B, this venue is General Admission.

Bendigo Stadium:

  • There are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.
  • Seating at the venue is divided up into three stands; the East Stand, the South Stand and the West Stand.
  • Seating in the East Stand is Price Level B.
  • Seating in the South Stand is Price Level A.
  • Seating in the West Stand is a combination of both Price Level A and Price Level B. The seating in the centre and the majority of the back third of the seating is Price Level A, the front two thirds of the seating to the right and left of the centre section is Price Level B.
  • While all seating is Price Level A and B, this venue is General Admission.


Geelong Arena:

  • There are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.
  • Seating at the venue is divided up into four stands; the North Stand, the East Stand, the South Stand and the Upper Gallery.
  • Seating in the North Stand is Price Level B.
  • Seating in the East Stand mostly consists of Price Level A seats, with some Price Level B seats on the outer edges of the stand.
  • Seating in the South Stand is Price Level B.
  • Seating in the Upper Gallery is Price Level A.
  • While all seating is Price Level A and B, this venue is General Admission.


Traralgon Sports Stadium:

  • All seating is Price Level A and is General Admission.
  • Seating at the venue is divided up into two stands; the North Stand and the South Stand.

  • There are three pricing levels; Price Level A, Price Level B and Price Level C.
  • There are two seating levels, the Upper Level and the Lower Level.

Track Cycling:

  • There are three pricing levels; Price Level A, Price Level B and Price Level C.
  • There are two seating levels, an Upper Level and a Lower Level found in both the West and East stands.
  • The East Stand’s Lower Level consists of Rows O to U which are Price Level A apart from Seats 278 to 298 which are Price Level B.
  • All seating in the Eastern Stand’s Upper Level is Price level C.
  • The West Stand’s Lower Level is all Price level A.
  • The West Stand’s Upper Level consists of Rows AA to MM, with Seats 27 to 113 Price Level B and Seats 114 to 153 Price Level C. 

 

Rod Laver Arena:

Gymnastics:

  • There are three pricing levels - Price Level A, Price Level B and Price Level C.
  • The arena is divided into to two seating levels, the Lower Level and the Upper Level. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

State Netball Hockey Venue:

Hockey:

  • The preliminary Hockey matches are all General Admission.
  • For the finals, there are two pricing levels; Price Level A and Price Level B.
  • There are three stands surrounding the field of play.

 

 

 

 

 

Netball:

The Prelininary games will be held at the State Netball Hockey Centre, with the finals being staged at Melbourne Park.

  • The State Netball Hockey Centre’s seating area is divided into four stands.
  • The Northern Stand consists of Aisles 16 to 19, Rows A to G.
  • The Eastern Stand consists of Aisles 9 to 12, Rows A to M.
  • The Southern Stand consists of Aisles 5 to 8, Rows A to G.
  • The Western Stand consists of Aisles 1 to 4, Rows A to U.
  • All seating at this venue is Price Level A, but is Reserved seating. 

 

Netball Finals:

  • There are three pricing levels; Price Level A, Price Level B and Price Level C.
  • There are two seating levels, the Upper Level and the Lower Level.
  • The Upper Level spans all sides of the court.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Venue: State Lawn Bowls Centre

Lawn Bowls:

  • The seating area consists of Aisles 1 to 12. Aisles 1 to 3 and 10 to 12 include Rows A to L, and Aisles 4 to 9 include Rows A to P.
  • All seats at this venue are Price Level A.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Telstra Dome:

Rugby 7's:

  • There are three pricing levels; Price Level A, Price Level B and Price Level C.
  • There are three seating levels, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. All three levels consist of Aisles 1 to 48. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Melbourne Gun Club:

Shooting - Clay Target:

  • The Clay Target Shooting events will be held at the Melbourne Gun Club in Lilydale.
  • All spectator entry is General Admission.
  • There are no allocated seating areas.
  • Standing room is along the back of the shooting range (Practice Range, Range Three and Finals Range One)
  • There is a larger area of seating behind Finals Range One.

 

 

International Shooting Club:

Shooting - Pistol & Small Bore:

  • The Small Bore and Pistol events will be held at the Melbourne International Shooting Club.
  • All spectator entry is General Admission.
  • There are no allocated seating areas.
  • Standing room is available behind the 50m Range, the 10m Range and the 25m Range.
  • There is also a Spectator Plaza behind the 25m Range viewing area.

 


 

Wellsford Rifle Range:

Shooting - Full Bore:

  • The Full Bore events will be held at the Wellsford Rifle Range in Bendigo.
  • All spectator entry is General Admission.
  • There are no allocated seating areas.
  • Standing room is available at the southern end, behind the area of play.

Venue Q & A:

Can I bring a bag?
Large bags eskies and picnic hampers are not permitted in Games venues. Bags must be able to sit under the seat. All bags will be inspected on entry to Games venues. It will take people with a bag longer to enter Games venues than those without a bag.

Can I bring a flag and banner?
Flags and banners smaller than one metre by one metre and with handles shorter than one metre long may be taken into Games venues. Flags and banners must not cover any Games venue signage.

Security
The safety and security of all spectators is a priority. Every person entering a Games venue will need to pass through a security screening process. They can expect the process to be similar to an airport security check. The contents of pockets will be checked and bags will be searched.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
Each competition venue has a range of food and drink refreshments available for purchase. A small amount of unopened food and drink may be brought into venues by spectators.

Alcohol cannot be taken into any Games venue.

Can I bring a camera or video camera? Not available. Photography and filming for personal, non-commercial purposes is permitted at Games venues. Some venues however, do not allow for flash photography.
