KL

Tourist Tips:

Malaysia:

Idyllic beaches, clear blue waters, palm trees gently swaying to the rhythm of crashing waves - visitors have always been enchanted by the unspoilt beauty and tranquillity of Malaysia's islands. Many of them are famous worldwide; more than one Malaysian island has been called a tropical paradise, and aptly so.

Islands:

Pulau Langkawi, which is famous for the Mahsuri legend, is also a duty-free shopping haven. This paradise also offers several attractions besides its beaches. There's Telaga Tujuh (Seven Wells), Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake Of the Pregnant Maiden), wildlife sanctuary Pulau Singa Besar and Pulau Payar Marine Park, to name a few.

There's something for everyone at these islands. If you have lots of energy to burn, you can enjoy water sports like sailing, windsurfing, deep-sea fishing, kayaking, snorkelling and scuba diving. And for those who are looking for a relaxing holiday, the beautiful beaches with their awe-inspiring golden sunset/sunrise will leave you with many memories to cherish

Beaches:

Comprising two geographical sections; Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah & Sarawak in North Borneo - Malaysia possesses many beautiful beaches.

With the Peninsula's long coastline and over two hundred islands, visitors are spoilt for choice for beaches with soft white sand, warm inviting waters, brilliant tropical sunshine and rustic fishing villages. The beaches range from the smooth sandy stretches of East Coast to the unique black sand beach of Pantai Pasir Hitam and the pebbled beach of Pantai Batu Kerikil (both of which are found in Pulau Langkawi, Kedah).

Many of Malaysia's beaches are found nestling in secluded islands and coves, making them the perfect place for a peaceful vacation. Water activities are aplenty for those who crave adventure but an alternative would be to slap on some sunscreen, grab a beach towel and soak up the sun.

Sightseeing in KL:

In a one day stopover, you can fit in a visit to some of the city's fascinating destinations. Visit the world's tallest building, the Petronas Twin Towers and the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) at the base of the towers.

For a spot of greenery, head for the Butterfly Farm and the Bird Park, at Lake Gardens to see colourful, distinctly and variedly patterned butterflies and magnificent exotic birds.

Shopping for bargains is a great option especially as there're so many bargains in KL, all the year through! The Suria KLCC at the base of the Twin Towers, boasts of beautiful fashion creations, from designer label clothes to branded shoes to bags as well as internationally renowned cosmetic brands.
