Previously the destination for the 2007 European Grand Prix, the Nurburgring will now host the German stage of the 2009 F1 calendar, with plans for the venue to alternate with Hockenheim every other year.
The scenic village of Nurburg, in the heart of the Eifel Plateau in West Germany is home to the famous Nurburgring. A fast and spectacular track, thrown in with the variables of weather and tyres makes this an exciting venue for a Grand Prix. Traditionally a challenging drive for the F1 stars, past and present, plus it's close to Kerpen, the home town of the young Schumachers - a big pull for any hero worshippers!
