Future Sporting Events

Over the next few years Travel Places will be involved in major sporting events around the globe, providing travel solutions for teams, competitors, relatives and media clients.

The following is a list of the events that we expect to be involved with, in date order: 

• UEFA Champions League Final: Rome 27th May 2009
• World Athletics Championships: Berlin 15th - 23rd August 2009
• Football World Cup Draw: Cape Town 4th December 2009
• Winter Olympic Games: Vancouver 12 - 28th February 2010
• Winter Paralympic Games: Vancouver 12th - 21st March 2010
• Football World Cup: South Africa 11th June - 11th July 2010
• Summer Youth Olympic Games: Singapore 14 - 26th August 2010
• World Equestrian Games: Lexington, USA 25th September - 10th October 2010
• Commonwealth Games: New Delhi, India 3rd - 14th October 2010  
• Asian Games: Guangzhou, China 12 - 27th November 2010
• UEFA European Football Championship: Poland/Ukraine summer 2012
• Summer Olympic Games: London 27th July - 12th August 2012
• Summer Paralympic Games: London 29th August - 9th September 2012

29th Olympiad, Beijing China 2008:

Congratulations to Team GB for their stunning performances in both the Olympic and Paralympic Games in China.

Travel Places are proud to have been of service to our national teams, as well as the BOA, BPA, media and families, plus spectators (Paralympics only) for the above events.  We also operated on behalf of the International Sailing Federation the movement of all their delegates to Qingdao for the sailing.

Reports from our staff members who planned and actioned the successful movement of clients to the Games was highly positive.  All involved have done a fantastic job, both in the UK and China during the Games and the effort and commitment that was put in by staff was of the highest calibre. Feedback from satisfied customers and parents has proved that we are able to handle any event, anywhere in the world!  We look forward to being of service again in the future.....
