MELBOURNE

Entertainment:

Southgate:

Nestled next to the Victorian Arts Centre on the sunny side of the Yarra river, the compex overlooks the city of Melbourne. Designed as a mixed-use development, Southgate includes the 400 room Sheraton Towers, two office towers, the relocated St John's Lutheran Church and the Arts and Leisure Precinct and a river promenade.

The popular Arts and Leisure Precinct has three levels of galleries, boutiques, specialty shops and restaurants, drawing visitors everyday. You could be tempted by the variety of food available in the indoor and outdoor restaurants and cafes, or simply sit and enjoy the river views.

St. Kilda:

Strolling across Princes Bridge is the best way to apporach St. Kilda Road, where you can see the Shrine of Remembrance and beautiful gardens, or take a ride on one of the colourful trams. Then there is the lure of the old stately homes of Como and Rippon Lea. Melbourne also has a diverse selection of museums, exhibiting collections concerning sport, maritime, travel and performing arts, and provide an insight into Victoria's beginnings and cultural heritage.

The museum of Victoria full of Victorian splendour , houses the state's social and natural history collection, and that most famous of all racehorses, Phar Lap.  As befits the capital of the Garden State central Melbourne has about one quarter of its area given to parks. The most popular are the Treasury,Fitzroy Garden and Royal Botanic Gardens, with their magnificent avenues of Elms, Oaks, Moreton Bay Figs and ornamental lake.

The Royal Botanic Garden covers an area of thirty five hectares, contains over 10,000 species of plants, and are set in a vast area of parklands extending to the Yarra River.
