The addition of the United States round makes for a 20-race season, which will get underway in Australia on March 18. The season finale will take place in Brazil on November 25. 2012 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar:18/03 Australia Korean Air adds Airbus A380 to Fleet:Korean Air has now become the sixth carrier to operate the Airbus A380 superjumbo, in addition to routes offered by SIA, Emirates, Qantas, Air France, and Lufthansa. The delivery of its first A380 took place on May this year, and the aircraft was put into service on routes from Seoul to Tokyo and Hong Kong from mid June. Korean Air is the first airline to dedicate the entire upper deck of the aircraft to business class, with 94 Prestige sleeper seats in a 2-2-2 configuration. However SIA has revealed it will also move to an all-business class upper deck on its new A380 deliveries. Hong Kong Airlines plans all-business class service to London:The airline operates scheduled regional passenger and cargo services to 10 destinations within the People's Republic of China and Vietnam, including codeshares with its sister airline, Hong Kong Express Airways. The CAPA has reported that Hong Kong Airlines will use new A330-200 aircraft configured for 116 lie-flat business class seats, to operate flights to London from next year. They are expected to fly into either London Gatwick, Stansted or Luton. There are currently five airlines offering direct nonstop services between London and Hong Kong: British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Air New Zealand, Qantas and Virgin Atlantic. Modernisation of Airport Security:The Department for Transport has announced proposals to modernise the regulation of aviation security, with airports rewarded for good practice by being granted greater autonomy in security procedures. The proposals, which are subject to consultation, could spell the end for compulsory security checks such as shoes and belts being removed and laptops taken out of bags. Discover Hong Kong With Augmented Reality:Cathay Pacific and the Hong Kong Tourism Board have created an app, in conjunction with McCann Erickson and XS2Theworld, that is touted as 'a world class app for a world class city'. The app has two functions - to showcase the beauty and variety of Hong Kong and to make sure visitors can navigate their way through the city easily, finding the best sights, spots, museums, bars and restaurants.
