School Sports Tours to AustralasiaAustraliaFlight Time = approximately 22 hoursAustralia is the sixth largest country in the world and is about the same size as the 48 mainland states of the USA. The key to an amazing tour in Australia is to plan it well - don’t try to ‘do’ the country in the one trip. Instead pick two or three key locations to use as your base, enjoying experiences in and around those places at a leisurely pace. Arrive in Perth on the west coast and enjoy its top attractions, great restaurants and the gorgeous Kings Park with its rich heritage. Walk through the city gardens or barbeque at one of the free public barbeque facilities. Live the outdoors lifestyle and ease yourself in to our tour - making the most of the sunshine and using the beautiful beaches as a backdrop play a game of beach cricket or touch rugby! One place that must be visited whilst on tour is Sydney, this is one of the most spectacular and exciting cities in the world. Sydney doesn’t exactly hide its charms; ‘if you’ve got it, flaunt it’ could well be the city’s motto. Make the most of your stay by climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge, watching a performance at the Opera House, taking part in water sports on one of the beaches, souvenir shopping and eating out in Darling Harbour - this is a wow factor city with so much to see and do. If you get chance, spend a day or two in the beautiful Blue Mountains for bush walking and wildlife spotting. Just a 90 minute drive from the city, this World Heritage Listed National Park is well worth a visit. A flight up to Cairns to access the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in northern Queensland is also a must. These two World Heritage listed areas are incredible and there is so much to see and do in the region. Cairns has a lovely oceanfront promenade, lots of restaurants and a buzzy nightlife, and using this as your base you can venture out into the Great Barrier Reef for some snorkelling or take the scenic railway up to the mountain village of Kuranda and visit the rainforest.
