The guaranteed year round sunshine, white sandy beaches and warm welcome makes the Caribbean a destination that never fails to impress. From the lively carnival atmosphere of Barbados to the calmer relaxing atmosphere of Grenada each island has something to offer.

In between fixtures you can experience the highlights of the islands. In Barbados, for example, the group can take part in a Catamaran Cruise and have the opportunity to snorkel with local sea life including turtles or take a tour around Kensington Oval and even meet a West Indies Cricket Legend! At night time Barbados comes alive with activity. A trip to Harbour Lights is a must as it offers world class entertainment on a beach side location - the group will be entertained by fire eaters, acrobats, limbo dancers and a live band. In St Lucia the group can take a day out to visit one of the Caribbean’s most famous landmarks the two volcanic cones, Gros Piton and Petit Piton.

With frequent flights and a wide choice of accommodation, West Indies is definitely excellent value for money and your tour to one main island such as Barbados or St Lucia can be combined with neighbouring islands if you want to explore more of the Caribbean.

Antigua

Antigua is famous for its beautiful beaches, with 365 of them to choose from, there is one for every day of the year! The Island is rich in cultural heritage, appealing to those who want a rare glimpse of a “step back in history” and really feel the flavour and scenes of those bygone days. English Harbour is a must see, as it is a particularly picturesque part of the island, with yachts filling it’s historic bay. You get a wonderful view of the harbour from Shirley Heights, which is now well known for its evening weekend reggae and steel bands.

Antigua has the climate to allow sports to be played all year round. Temperatures range from the mid seventies in the winter to the mid eighties in the summer making Antigua the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean Islands. The National sport is cricket with soccer running a close second along with a high standard of netball being played. The majority of our cricket fixtures are played at the Jolly Beach Resort, which also has netball practice on site. Netball fixtures are played at various venues around the island.

Barbados

Barbados is our top selling Caribbean island, due to the perfect mixture of beautiful beaches, high standard of sport, culture/history, and a variety of evening entertainment. Out of all the islands Barbados is the most vibrant. The whole island comes out to party during Crop Over season, when the island becomes awash with colour and music. Most of our hotels are situated on the south coast, which touches the calm Caribbean sea. Here you can take advantage of some of the islands best beaches, and be in close proximity to St Lawrence Gap, where most of the evening entertainment and restaurants are located. The Island’s coastline varies greatly with the contrast of the flat golden beaches on the west to the rugged coast on the East, which meets the Atlantic Ocean. Barbados has everything to offer on one small island!

Sport is played all year round in Barbados. Whether you want matches against schools, clubs or universities, arranging fixtures is never a problem. We can pitch the standard at all levels from developing sides to teams wanting to play at higher levels. Sport in Barbados is taken very seriously, so you will find for all sports, the opposing teams will always be very competitive. Bajans are proud of their sport facilities. The Sir Garfield Sobers sports complex is a hive of activity catering for hockey, swimming, basketball and soon to be soccer and cricket. Cricket is king in Barbados and played extensively around the island. Everyone is awaiting the construction of the new state of art, Kensington Oval. Majority of the netball is played at the National Netball Stadium.

Grenada

Known as the Spice Island because of the nutmeg, mace and other spices it produces. Grenada is the second largest producer of nutmeg in the world. It is volcanic in origin, has a beautiful mountainous interior and is well endowed with lush forests and cascading rivers. St George’s is the Capital and is widely acknowledged as the prettiest harbour city in the West Indies. Most of our accommodation is based on the south coast, where you will find the sandy beaches.

Whatever the sport, Grenada has the facilities and a great climate to get your team match-fit and to ensure your school, club or university team have fun. Queens Park Stadium complex provides excellent training and practice grounds. The stadium has hosted international cricket, athletics and soccer. St George’s University, also has good cricket practice facilities, and benefits from a backdrop of the Caribbean sea. You will find a lot of the sporting venues for netball, cricket, athletics and soccer are based around local parishes, schools and clubs. Tennis facilities are available at most hotels, and public tennis courts are located at Grand Anse & Tanteen at St George.

Jamaica

Flight Time = approximately 9 hours

Jamaica, the third-largest island in the Caribbean, is also one of the most colourful. Explore the idyllic white sand beaches and vibrant tropical blooms which sit on a backdrop of blue mountain peaks. Renowned as the birthplace of Bob Marley, reggae remains at the island's musical heart. Excellent tourist facilities and attractions range from leafy parks to handsome colonial towns. Montego Bay is one of Jamaica 's main coastal resorts, attracting a mix of tourists with exquisite sands, fine restaurants and world-class golf. Journey a short distance along the coast to discover 'the real Jamaica', amidst street markets of ackee, yam and breadfruit. Explore the quaint fishing villages of Treasure Beach, Port Antonio and Oracabessa, sleepy retreats that offer a glimpse of Jamaica's quieter side.

Low-key and relaxed, Montego Bay or Mo-Bay, as the locals call it, is warm year-round. Swim and snorkel in clear water at Doctor's Cave and Fletcher Beach, dive in the ominously named Widowmaker's Cave, and golf on courses such as Half Moon and Tryall. Off the beaten path, experience a variety of outdoor activities at Chukka Caribbean Adventures, and tour Rose Hall Great House, a former sugar plantation with a spooky past.

Ocho Rios offers the white sands and clear water expected of a Caribbean island, complete with waterfalls and rainforests. Swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Cove, or experience the island’s beauty with a Blue Mountain Bicycle Tour. Reggae fans should make the trip to Nine Mile, Bob Marley's birth and final resting place.

St Kitts & Nevis

St Kitts is the ideal location for teams that have previously toured the Caribbean and are looking for something a little different. The main emphasis on the island is adventure! Whether it be horse riding along the beaches, deep sea fishing, hiking in the rain forest, snorkelling or kayaking - the list is endless. Nevis is a wonderful island to visit either as a day trip, which takes about 45 minutes by boat, or if you have time, we recommend going for a few days. Take time to explore this little island and try out a few of the exciting excursions it has to offer, as well as the beautiful beaches. As the islands are slightly off the beaten track, neither island is over run with tourists, in fact you will probably see more donkeys and goats roaming around the island than people!

The sport grounds are scattered around the island, so your team will get to see a lot of the island whilst transferring to fixtures. We work with the St Kitts tourist board in putting together your sport fixtures, so you are ensured professionalism from our ground staff. The Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture have various sports activities running during the year. These include the schools basketball open, volleyball league, High school netball (U14’s), Rams Track and Field Series, Primary cricket, netball and tennis league, football leagues, plus a summer general sports camp. Please enquire if you wish to find out more details on the tournaments/festivals.

St Lucia

St Lucia is simply beautiful, with the famous Piton Peaks dominating the skyline. Lush rainforest, sulphur springs, golden and black beaches and stunning coral reefs add to its beauty. The landscape of St Lucia is stunning with mountains covered in dense green foliage, a dramatic Atlantic coastline, calm Caribbean Sea and a mixture of towns and villages. As throughout the Caribbean, the island is rich in culture, having been inhabited by the Arawak Indians, the Caribs, the French and the English. Finally becoming an independent democracy within the British Commonwealth in 1979.

Cricket can be played at the recently constructed state of the art Beausejour Cricket Ground, where there are 4practice net pitches, two turf and two concrete. The Mindoo Philip Park and other selected smaller grounds throughout the island are also utilised. The Mindoo Philip Park is also used for playing rugby. There are football pitches throughout the island, the main one being at The National Stadium in the South of the island. It is an international size stadium with a seating capacity of 8000. It also has an 8 lane 400 meter track for athletics. Netball is very popular on the island and is played at the Vigie Multi Purpose Complex, where there are three courts, all of which are floodlit.

Trinidad & Tobago

Just off the coast of Venezuela, Trinidad is probably the most developed of the Caribbean Islands, with the least tourism. Traditionally they have depended on industry for wealth and employment. They have well established sports facilities, based in and around the bustle of the city. Once you have spent the first part of your time away playing fixtures and exploring the rainforest, we recommend you finish off your tour with a few days in Tobago. Just relaxing, enjoying the sandy beaches, watching the wonderful array of birds and enjoying the friendly ambience of this little laid back island.

Sport is played all year round in Trinidad. You can play cricket, netball, rugby, hockey and the local’s love of soccer becomes apparent when travelling around the island. You will see they seem to squeeze a football pitch in to every spare space they have. The island offers a well kept astro turf for hockey, which is next to the fantastic squash facilities, available for fixtures of all ages. Netball is played all over the island. You can play cricket in Tobago, but not to as a high a standard as you will find in Trinidad.
